Kia recalling 463,000 Telluride SUVs because the front seats can catch fire
·1 min
Kia has issued a warning to owners of its Telluride SUVs in the US, urging them to park the vehicles outside and away from buildings due to potential seat fire risks. The recall affects approximately 463,000 Telluride models from 2020 to 2024. The issue stems from misaligned and stuck seat control switches, which can cause the small electric motor that adjusts the seats to overheat. Kia plans to send letters to affected owners and will provide free repairs to reinforce and improve the switches. The recall comes after a previous recall for a separate issue earlier this year.
