One corner of a museum houses artifacts from Times Tower, a former headquarters of The New York Times. Two salvaged gargoyles from the building now reside in the museum, with one given to the New-York Historical Society and one kept by The Times. A model of Times Tower donated to the museum in 2017 was missing gargoyles, so a graphics editor created miniature replicas. The editor used digital modeling and a 3D printer to produce the replicas, which were then airbrushed and installed on the cupola. The editor also created a flag with 45 stars, symbolizing the number of states in 1905.
